Shockwave therapy for tendon pain
Do you have persistent tendon-related issues or a soft tissue injury that has been causing you pain? Shockwave therapy is a non-surgical treatment that delivers impulses of energy to targeted tissues.
What can shockwave therapy be used for?
Shockwave therapy uses targeted sound waves delivered through the skin to damaged and overloaded tissues. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common conditions we treat using shockwave therapy.
There is good evidence for shockwave therapy in conditions such as plantar fasciitis and some tendinopathies. Its non-invasive nature means there are no incisions or anaesthesia. Your therapist will tell you at your consultation whether it suits your problem.
